It’s important to note that I have quite a few LEGO Friends and Princess sets on display (personal preference), and I didn’t intentionally steer her towards that direction – I have many more minifigure sets, but she was just drawn towards them. The LEGO Friends TV shows are also a huge part of this, and she loves watching them on Netflix, and building bonds with those characters on-screen, and the Minidolls that represent them. Light Green (Light Green) . Introduced in 1992 with LEGO® Paradisa and Duplo, this colour was rare outside of girls' themes, such as Belville and LEGO® Scala. It was last used in 2005. To capitalise on the new Minidoll form-factor, LEGO deepened its partnership with Disney with the Disney Princess line, which transformed iconic Disney Princesses into minidolls. Since inception, LEGO has had to shake its perception as a “boy’s construction toy”, even though both boys and girls enjoy expressing their creativity through LEGO. She doesn’t enjoy playing with Ninjago vehicles, or cars, but loves constructing different “worlds”, featuring Friends minidolls, minifigures, animals and houses. She explicitly prefers Minidolls over Minifigures as she better relates to them.

Finally, here's a Clikits ring with 1x1 polo plate in its female connector, and a flower with 318 bar connector in its hole. The majority of Clikits parts have one or more female (left) or male (right) connection points. The basic 'icons' as LEGO refers to them -- the heart, daisy and star -- have a single one in the centre. Under the Dots theme, LEGO has done storage boxes, bracelets, bag tags and more, and no doubt the theme will have even more variety in future. Today's subject is another 'girl'-theme. In the first episode of Is This LEGO I've taken a look at Scala, which is a mix of LEGO and Barbie, and listed all efforts by LEGO to appeal to the female demographic. There have been 3 themes dedicated to creating jewelry. The first, Scala (but not the one I previously mentioned) ran in 1979 and 1980 with 9 sets. In 2020, LEGO introduced DOTS, which has taken off in a big way and is pumping out sets in big numbers. From what I've seen on social media there is a big dedicated fanbase for this theme. What do you think of LEGO’s efforts over the years? Are they heading in the right direction, or do you think they could do better? Let me know what you think in the comments! There are several theories as to why LEGO® Clikits was eventually discontinued. Some think the range was not profitable enough, while others think the series was not popular enough with older girls and teens. Still popular

Light Bluish Green (Aqua). This colour was introduced in 1998 in Scala and was also used frequently in Belville and Clikits, but not much else. Retired in 2006. This theme introduced mini-dolls and presented a slightly more dollhouse-inspired twist on LEGO City-style buildings and cars. LEGO® Clikits is a colorful and fun series of LEGO® parts and accessories introduced in 2003. Designed specifically for girls ages 6 to 12, it offers a creative way to make jewelry, accessories and decorations. But how did the LEGO® Clikits series come about and what is the history of LEGO® Clikits? The start of LEGO® Clikits

LEGO® Clikits was very popular with girls around the world. It was a great success and new sets were released every year. In 2006 the range was expanded to include a variety of other merchandise such as bags, pens and watches. But in 2009, despite all the successes that had been had, LEGO® Clikits was discontinued. Transparent Bright Yellowish Green (Trans-Light Bright Green). Introduced in Belville and Clikits in 2003. Last used in 2006, this colour was never used outside those two themes and Duplo. It's a bit like Galidor: in itself, Clikits is a nice toy that does well what it's designed to do: decorate various objects. The range of types and colors of Icons is massive, and surprisingly not really uber-pink, so if you're into decorating, this theme has you covered. My 6-yo enjoyed the large frame a lot. So I can't fault the design team, they did a good job on Clikits... if it was produced by any other toy company. I can link it to ZNAP: in itself a great product, but for me it needs more connection to SYSTEM to be seen as LEGO. In that regard, DOTS is doing a much better job. It’s been really interesting to see the shift in their approach, and personally, I really like how LEGO Friends has expanded beyond typically “girly” town-settings like Bakeries to include more adventurous themes like Jungle/Animal Rescue and Underwater Exploration.
