About this deal

I can say that for most of the original paint pots that I used (prior to this current release), these statements are very true. But as you’ll see for some of these new ones, they are not always true. If you have also seen my first review on these MAC Paint Pots ( here), you may know I’m talking about. The original ones are much smoother and creamier, without a slightest sense of patchiness. Ingredients and formulation of the MAC Paint Pots (vol. 2) In this batch, I have 2 shimmer shades, Let’s Skate! and Bare Study, and 2 mattes, Art Thera-Peachy and Belle Epic. First about the shimmers, if you already have Bare Study, you probably know that it is very smooth, soft and almost feel a little bit oily to the touch (but it is not oily on the lid at all). It gives a subtle glow and glossiness on the lid, which is really pretty. The shade is described as soft beige with gold pearl, which is an accurate description. There are sixteen brand new MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot shades, and I bought several of the new shades, and couldnt wait to try them. If youd like to read my review and see swatches of the MAC Bougie Paint Pot, keep on reading. I thought I would share my monthly favourites for May. A pretty exciting month for me, planning a trip to Vietnam in June (accommodation all finalised... crazy exciting!) and handing everything in to get admitted to the Bar in June as well! So all in all, a month of planning and preparation.

But that’s not to say Barely Beige isn’t pretty, it is in its own right. This is a creamy pearlish beige with a frosty sometimes metallic finish (really depends how much you apply). The formula is excellent as it blends easily, has a nice creamy feel with a certain density, and a true to pot color on lids. I find the formula and texture varies from shade to shade with Color Tattoos that’s why I like reviewing them individually. In this case, the formula performs quite well. If, instead, youre all about eye color, then Bare Study has other strengths you might like. For one, it loves to layer with a wide variety of colors. I had bought Painterly and wondered if soft Ochre wouldve be better suited to my fair warm complexion. It can be worn alone for a light luminous look or paired with similar shadows for an extra boost of glow. I feel like this shade doesnt get a lot of love but its a much better match for me than Painterly. Mac paint pot painterly vs bare study. Painterly Which MAC Paint Pot Should You Get. Mayebelline Color Tattoo in Barely Branded left. MAC Cosmetics Paint Pot Bare Study. Before I talk about this, let me tell you an incident. I came to USA almost 2 years ago and I requested my hubby to take me to buy MAC. He was so excited and started making plans to take me to a mall. Now, I was a bit surprised because he is not a mall person and definitely not a person who makes shopping plans. I thought maybe he is happy to see me. By the way, guess where he took me, to the APPLE store!!!! Yes, my face was all mixed emotions type. I let him frolic there and then quietly took him to MAC. We had a great laugh afterwards and it made me think how little things have memories behind them I cannot express my love for this in less words. I use this mostly as a base under my shadows. I apply it with my ring finger and sheer it out. It gives me around 4-5 hours of creaseless wear. On most days when I do not have enough time to apply anything as hubby is out of the house in 5 minutes, I apply this as a light wash on the lids with a kajal/liner and it gives a nice sheen on my lids. Also, it is really mousse soft and allows great blendability , but once it sets, youre good for hours. I also use this as a highlight for my browbone, nose, cupids bow and on top of the cheeks. This is the most-used product in my vanity. If youre shy about wearing a lot of color on your eyes, try a dash of Bare Study on your lids paired with your favorite eyeliner, and then maybe one day if/when you felt a little more confident about eye color , you could try layering it under neutrals like brown, beige or gray. The texture was moderately emollient with some slip but it wasnt as prone to sheering out nor as slippery as some of the other pearl finish shades in the range. MAC Layin Low Layin Low is a warm beige with a matte finish. Good to hear they are permanent to the paint pots. I’ve had both these products for a few months, and I think it’s worth noting that the texture of Bare Study is as creamy and soft as it was the day I opened it. Barely Branded, on the other hand, has gotten a little clumpy.

Don't know which is which, eh? Well, that's awesome because that means you'll be able to get MAC's Bare Study for a little less than MAC's price. If you've ever wanted Bare Study then you only have to get Maybelline's Barely Branded Color Tattoo.MAC Unsung Heroes: Bare Study Paint Pot / Originally published August 13th, 2012 There are 42 comments on this post. If you like duochrome eyeshadows, or colour changing shades, you need the MAC Bougie Pro Longwear Paint Pot in your life All images belong to me. The innovative second skin-like creamy shadow formula blends smoothly over lids and creates seamless, buildable coverage without looking heavy or cakey.

Sometimes Ill layer it beneath beige and gold shadows like Shroom, Sweet Satisfaction and Ricepaper, because it gives em a little extra oomph, or to brighten and intensify purples, greens and blues. This one is a great size, considering you don't need much to get a luminised effect. I was surprised it was very white, blending down clear. Swatched above, I think this is a great choice for under foundation in winter, to get that glow going! It is a new way of DIY hair dying as it is with foam, it comes in a box containing a colourant, a developer, some gloves and some conditioner. The amount of product more than enough, for the lenght of my hair i was supposed to use the whole bottle but i used two thirds and that was plenty. I only left the colour on for 20 minutes becuase obviously since im 15 i have no greys ( well i hope not!) and it came out much better than i was expecting! The formula is supposed to be "highly pigmented, long-wearing, blendable" and can be used as either an "eye primer" or as a "cream shadow." The brand says it's supposed to wear for "24 hours" without flaking or creasing. If you know MAC Blue Brown Pigment, youll love the MAC Bougie Pro Longwear Paint Pot as the colour is almost identical. Bougie has a warm reddy toned brown base, with duochrome green and blue shimmer, and you can really see the duochrome shift come to life in different lights.
