About this deal

Violife original flavour slices are original cheese slices that you can put on a burger or in a toasted sandwich to still have cheese in your favourite meal. Whilst it does melt a little it is not as stringy as dairy cheese and looks a little different but tastes great. Supermarkets have finally cottoned on to the fact that the number of vegans is growing and will continue to grow in the UK in the coming years (partly driven by the strong environmental arguments to go vegan). As such, they’ve started to produce their own versions of popular vegan products, including vegan cheese. Here are how the main supermarkets are getting on at the time of writing. The cheese slices were my favourite from the selection of vegan cheeses that I was sent. I especially loved the smoky flavoured vegan cheese as I honestly wouldn’t be able to tell that this wasn’t even dairy cheese if I was served it.I knew that Greek style 'feta' cheese was going to be hard to replicate, it's quite a unique flavour, so I was very intrigued to see how the M&S vegan Greek Style Cubes tasted. Bring the sauce to a simmer over medium-high heat, then lower the heat to keep the sauce at a slow, steady simmer for about 45 minutes, or until droplets of oil float free of the tomatoes. Stir occasionally, and use a sturdy wooden spoon to crush the tomatoes again.
