The Fizzics DraftPour is an exceptionally easy method of bringing pub-quality craft brewery into your home as your personal beer tap to share with friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors. It is easy to move around and can run on a USB cable or AA batteries. The compact design and sleek styling look perfect in a wide array of applications, and you can use practically any kind of can or bottle you enjoy in the growler. The only complaints from consumers seem to be because you need to clean the Fizzics DraftPour dispenser system after each session and the price tag. It's even got a built-in Bluetooth speaker so you can play your favourite tunes while marvelling at the projections. Bit of Gustav Holst, anyone? You have two options for power, which is handy - it can be plugged into the mains or work off 2AA batteries. This beer is known for having strong citrus flavors and is well carbonated and light bodied. Which is exactly as it presented itself when poured normally. Once it went through the Fizzics system, the aroma was stronger and the mouth feel was heavier. And my favorite part was the bitterness in the finish was mellowed quite a bit.
Fizzics works by pressurizing the canister after you close and latch the lid. Put your bottle in the machine, place your glass under the tap, and pull the handle forward, then it'll gently pour the body of your beer, controlling the flow digitally and keeping the bottle pressurized so as to keep the bulk of the carbonation within the beer. That made it super easy to use, but it felt a bit pointless. Fizzics says it uses sonic wave technology so you get a draft taste from any can or bottle of beer. Whether you favour IPA’s, Pilsners, stouts, brown ales or lagers, you’ll be able to reap the benefits of the DraftPour experience. And thanks to its versatile design, it can hold both tall and regular size cans and beer bottles up to 650ml. Regardless of your beer styles, the Fizzics draft beer dispenser will provide an ideal micro-foam head with a taste that will impress even the harshest beer snob with that fresh tap taste.Some beers, particularly sweet ones, taste better after the Fizzics treatment, but the way it smoothes carbonation and brings out the malty flavors hurts the complexity of hoppy beers.

Moving to the darker end of the spectrum, we tried a Liberty Street Brewing Company Red Glare Amber Ale; an Old Chub Scotch Ale, from Oskar Blues Brewery; and Shake Chocolate Porter, from Boulder Beer Company. We thought The Sub looked very cool - it’s a bit different to other machines as the keg that goes inside is laid on its side rather than upright, which gives this device its cylindrical “submarine” design. The Pros outweigh the Cons as this system truly elevates the drinking experience. Will I use the Fizzics DraftPour every time I drink a beer? No, but there are many beers that I’ll be excited to try through it.
