Description

You can immediately see from the photo that some things are missing. Fractal Design has ditched the optical drive bay entirely and saved a lot of space in the process. You may not have noticed that there's also no reset button; HDD activity and power are both handled by the same single blue front LED. Ventilation is pretty minimal, too. Fractal Design took their usual aesthetic and a lot of chutzpah and produced something remarkably unique. Fractal Design Node 304 Specifications I spoke with Fractal about the problem after testing that my 3rd party extension worked fine and following their advice seems to have fixed it for me, was a little unsure at first though: A good quality single-rail 500W PSU is probably enough for almost any Intel consumer desktop unless they're getting crazy with multi-GPU or insane numbers of hard drives (like my fileserver which has 15 hotswap bays :P).

Cooling 2 x 92mm front fan mounts (fan supplied), 1 x 120/140mm rear fan mount (140mm fan supplied) Inside - undo the four thumbscrews and remove the cover - are three white drive cages each holding two drives in either 3.5 or 2.5-inch formats. Yes, that's right, an ITX case that can support six hard drives. The 3.5-inch drive mounts have rubber grommets fitted to help dampen down any noise. So if you compare e.g. be quiet! Pure Power and Corsair CX, the latter has better electric properties, but is WAY more noisy (totally different league, Corsair's fan is awful). Regarding GPU: Have you thought of RX480 8GB? It's priced similarly to 1060, has a larger framebuffer and has a slight advantage in DX12 and Vulkan over GTX1060. Metaluna - Friday, November 23, 2012 - link Seems to me that what we need is for the industry to standardize on a set of connectors for modular PSUs. That would allow an aftermarket to develop for modular PSU cables of any length you need. Like in this case it looks like the main power connector only needs to be around 8" or so, if that. There are outfits that sell custom modular cables for select PSUs (e.g. Seasonic X-series) but they are ridiculously expensive. Panasonic SA-PMX94 / Realtek onboard + B&O speaker system / Harman Kardon Go + Play / Logitech G533 The same rules apply if you take out two of the drive cages to squeeze in a 310mm graphics card. To get anywhere near a tidy build in the Node 304 a modular PSU is a must.

So it looks like I might have found a solution. I found this adapter that I think could be use to run from the remaining 4pin 12 power connector on my power supply to the molex connector of the case. This one's a fairly standard looking cube-style mini-ITX case, the likes of which we've seen plenty of in the past from Lian Li, SilverStone and a host of budget/re-branded models besides. However, the Node 304 isn't without innovation - it has plenty of interesting features but read on if you're thinking about adding it to your shortlist. However unless one is a fan (pun intended) of the beige/brown - Nanoxia DS would be a better upgrade: Featuring hybrid functionality, the Node 304 case is ideally used as a cool-running file server, a stylish and quiet home theatre PC or a powerful gaming system highlighting minimalistic and stunning Scandinavian design and maximum functionality. With the cord attached and the system booting, you get the glow of blue LED coming out of the slit on the front bezel denoting system power is on. Just under the "a" in Fractal you can also see a white LED glowing as it accesses the storage drive inside the chassis. Final Thoughts Update: It seems like this problem occurs because Safari sends 'cache-control': 'max-age=0' on reload. Meanwhile, response codes in the 300s indicate redirection issues, such as the 301 and 302 redirects, used for permanent and temporary redirects. Keep in mind that it is not possible to solve the 304 not modified status code on your visitor’s side, but you’ll be able to provide them with a resource to fix the error codes. 304 Status Code FAQs
