I still think it's a huge missed opportunity that they stuck so close to the originals and didn't use these remakes as an opportunity to soft reboot the series so they could clean up and streamline things, similar to what Square is doing with FFVII remake(s).But when our heroes slow down, either to consider all of the violence they’ve experienced or just to listen to a madman expose his grand scheme, Death Island can’t find a pulse. Wherever someone is on their journey, I encourage them to accept themselves fully first, find out what makes their soul sing, and then root them on! Jill is still processing post-traumatic stress from the events of Resident Evil 5, but she’s determined to stay in the field, where she believes she can do the most good by protecting the innocent. I heard Netflix series is coming soon, maybe that is something to look forward to, hopefully at the level of "The Last of Us" but "Resident Evil: Death Island" does not provide the entertainment that the viewers deserve.
