About this deal

If you are planning on a high humidity grow room (like a humid/ wet greenhouse) I would suggest the "ThermoPro TP-60 Indoor Outdoor Temperature and Humidity Monitor" for a few dollars more. display with large numbers shows both the current temperature and humidity level as well as all-time high and low records for both measurements. There are also two buttons on the front that are easy to use and see; one button is for alternating between Celsius and Fahrenheit, and the other for resetting the max/min temperature.

This thermometer is straight forward to use and comes with 1 x AAA battery included which is all that’s required to start it running. The best thing to look out for is an ‘IP’ rating, as this means that the thermometer has been properly tested against dust and/or water ingress. Some other reviewers were talking about the screen being sensitive, you have to be at a certain angle. Whilst not precise enough for professional use, it should give a good overall impression of the temperature and humidity inside the greenhouse. Of course, if you have specific plants you want to protect, then place the thermometer near these to check the temperature in that specific area.Unlike its larger sibling, the TP55 (also featured on this page), this TP50 doesn’t have a backlight so it’s not particularly easy to read in the dark. It’s a useful tool to have hanging in the greenhouse, and the manufacturers claim that it is accurate to ±1°C. The lower end of the spectrum is mostly soil hygrometers, and the expensive end of the scale will have loads of features and is usually portable. Whatever reason you have for wanting a hygrometer, you have come to the right place for advice on choosing the best device for you.

It doesn’t overcomplicate things, simply displaying the current temperature, as well as the maximum and minimum. And also on the back side is where you would have a Fahrenheit or Celsius change and there's also a little stand allows you to hold the unit's up in a and they have vertical positions. In addition to max/min temperature readings, there are also more advanced digital thermometers that will also display the maximum and minimum humidity readings over a certain time period. Nevertheless, with the use of a torch it should still be easy enough to interpret main data; despite this unit’s small size, the numbers are still quite large. This could be inconvenient if you’re trying to keep an eye over the data over a standard day period. Certain plants require different temperatures to flourish, and if the greenhouse is too hot or too cold, they will struggle to carry out necessary processes like photosynthesis. It is used in meteorological science and galleries to protect artwork and everyday homes to ensure the best air quality. The display is larger than many similar thermometers, and the dimensions of the whole unit are approximately 8 x 11 cm. It will need to be a minimum of 20 degrees and between 50 and 70% humidity to indicate as comfortable.
