Whether you're cooking for you and your partner, or you regularly entertain large groups of people, you can opt for a charcoal or gas barbecue that not only has the cooking space you need, but also the features and cooking accessories to improve the whole dining experience. The BBQ offers plenty of storage, including hooks for tools and two foldable shelves for your drink or whatever else to sit. Earning five stars in our review, this three-burner BBQ wowed us with its versatile cooking ability, acing every test we threw it at (including veggies, sausages, burgers, and a whole spatchcock chicken). Seeing as this one will likely be best for those without much storage space, it's nice to know you can display it when not in use.

Freestanding models are more portable, and they can be wheeled into the shed and back out again, and they are easier to clean because they can be moved around. It scored full marks cooking corn on the cob, vegetable kebabs and steak, and only dropped one mark on our sausage and burger tests. There are lots of thoughtful design details too – its side tables fold down, making storage a doddle, it has hooks you can hang tools from, its controls are illuminated with LED lights, and it has an electric ignition.Cleans faster and more efficiently than brushes or scrapers using gentle, abrasive action that shapes the stone to any surface and grooves itself to quickl y clean between grill grates. You can sit it atop a table in your garden so as not to take up any more floor space, and it's the perfect size for popping an easy-light charcoal bag in if you hate the fuss of lighting.
