As I state in every review I do, value is highly subjective and value is only based on what you consider important. I therefore make my judgement based on what is actually being delivered compared to the what is being offered on the market. Before the introduction of 2-wheel suitcases you had to carry your luggage, so lets raise a glass to celebrate this invention! While 4-wheel cases have become more popular over recent years, 2-wheelers are still a great option especially for a cabin case.

The clasp mechanism for opening was popular with buyers. Obviously, zips are more trouble than you’d expect when it comes to travelling.Samsonite does offer a lifetime warranty with their cases. I’d be surprised if you need to use this with these tough hard-shell cases. The only negatives I could find involved damage from airlines and scratches. Of course, nobody wants that – though I’d be super-surprised if these Samsonite cases fared any worse than a cheap ‘no brand’ alternative under the circumstances. Wrapping Up: Are the Samsonite S’Cure Spinners Right for You? Large suitcases are 70 to 79 cm or 27 to 31 inches in height. They have a capacity of 55 L up to 140 L. Just imagine how many clothes and shoes you could fit in these suitcases! What is better: a spinner or an upright suitcase? One of the most common questions we are asked is what is the best size suitcase for me? Below you'll find information that answers a few common questions and will help you make the right decision. Let’s establish the kind of customers that this range should interest. Principally, they will be holidaymakers, especially ones that really value lightweight luggage to maximize airplane allowances.

While by no means lightweight, I found them reasonably weighted when you take the toughness of the shell into account. There are plenty of flimsy no-name alternatives which are over 4kg for a medium. S’Cure cases are built from Flowlite Polypropylene. These weights are based on the nicer DLX versions with upgraded interiors.

And speaking of stuffing, you can really fit a lot into one of these 28" suitcases. And they are sturdy. At least so far - they've been on two round trips each with no problem. The wheels are small, tough and move in any direction. If you have not had a Samsonite Spinner before, then give it a (literal) twirl… S’Cure cases will spin around 360 degrees. Well, after some trial and error, I now go with ‘Secure,’ only with a silent first ‘e.’ If you prefer ‘ES-CURE’ then more power to you! I include this section in the review because design can facilitate good capacity. In this case, the design is good and does not intrude on the interior capacity. Less likely to snap off: because the 2- wheels are set into the case you won't find baggage handlers using the wheels as handles when they are getting your bag on of off the aircraft.

Victorinox: https://www.victorinox.com/uk/en/Service/Product-Support/Travel-Gear/Travel-Gear-Warranties/cms/service-travel-gear-warranties The overall fit of the suitcase is great in terms of parts slotting together. Therefore, the build quality should contribute to its durability. Finish Concentric square rings on the front panel sets these cases apart. Add dots to the middle around the distinctive Samsonite logo for a classic look. While the shape is the standard rectangle box, these are smart cases. Small touches like contrasting colours just above the spinner wheels and contrasting telescopic handle make it stand out. When you open the suitcase, you'll see that one side has a full fabric cover. You open it with a zip that goes around 3 sides. The other side of the suitcase has a set of X-shaped straps to hold larger items in. It wasn't a negative for us, but just in case, I'll mention that there is no lining to this suitcase. Inside, it is just the bare polypropylene. It doesn't mean a hoot to us. We tend to use our suitcases for a looooooong time before buying new ones, and the problem with fabric linings is that they don't last as long as the rest of the suitcase. So not having a fabric lining may not look as pretty in the beginning, but has no effect whatsoever on how well the suitcase works. I've attached a photo giving you an idea of how the inside of the suitcase looks. The pull handle is as you would expect from Samsonite. Strong and robust. It is secure and the movement up and down is very smooth. As I mention above, the finish is excellent. Something you expect of Samsonite and this range is no different. There are no concerns or issues to report here…proceed with confidence. There are some manufacturers who offer guarantees that include damage caused by airlines, for example Briggs & Riley and certain products by Victorinox. Instead of the regular zip we see on most suitcases, Samsonite have offered a new direction that I think we will see more of in the future. Zips are a particular weak point in luggage because of damage and theft. The seal removes those weak points. Yes, there is no zip mechanism. Instead there is a waterproof seal and the suitcase is closed using clasps. What is the Samsonite S’Cure DLX range? It is an extension to the S’Cure range and is the premium version. It has a soft touch handle and chrome accents. How long is the Samsonite warranty?

S’Cure will appeal to regular travellers, though anyone looking for long-term value will benefit from them. The side-clasp opening, easy to clean exterior and wide choice of colours are all popular. The main body is constructed using polypropylene rather than the polycarbonate that Samsonite normally use. Although polycarbonate is traditionally considered stronger, polypropylene is still a very strong thermoplastic. It is more than capable of handling bumps, bruises and general mishandling. The carry handles are integrated into the case design and they are very well done. The side handle is lifted out whereas the top handle is always available. The material is comfortable enough. With engraving, you can add your name or a personal message of up to 25 characters onto the metal of the suitcase handle. Engraving is available in different fonts.I will cover the reasons in more details below but to give you a taster of what to expect, here is why this range is different. If there is a luggage company that knows what it is doing, it is Samsonite. They are masters of innovation in material and product durability. There is a reason they offer a 10-year warranty, this is the level of confidence they have.
