Particularly welcome is how well the sound swells forward and out from the built-in soundbar. This provides far more impact and detail than the more ‘swallowed’ effect you typically get with TVs that house all their speakers behind their screens. Information about the storage capacity, which is used for the operating system and for installing different applications, saving video, music, photos and other data. The 2.1 Onkyo sound system provides 70W of power through two forward-firing drivers, and one large bass radiator on the rear. There’s built-in Dolby Atmos decoding, too. Impressively, the 65C815K supports both of the so-called active high dynamic range (HDR) formats: HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Most rival TVs support only one or other of these formats, or neither of them – and, as we’ll see, this dual active HDR support is especially important to the 65C815K’s performance. TCL’s televisions can differ by market, especially between UK/Europe and the models that appear in the US and Australia. This year we gather that the European and UK versions of the C835 will be technically identical (the previous C825 had a key difference in the UK), while Australia got to meet the new range first, with the C835 range officially available from 1 June 2022.

The ratio between the horizontal and the vertical side of the display. Some of the standard and widely used aspect ratios are 4:3, 5:4, 16:9 and 16:10. so good for its money that it pretty much redefines the whole TV market in a single blaze of ultra-bright glory."The TCL C935 is way better than the QNED, looks and sounds better, cheaper too. It gets super bright, not that I’d have it at max brightness, but it’s better to have it and not use it than need it and it’s not available. The local dimming works well, no complaints. And don’t have to worry about babying the thing, can leave it running no problems and also do as much gaming as necessary too without having to worry about burn in from HUD’s or anything like that. VRR eliminates lag, judder and frame tearing effects for fluid and better detailed gameplay. This TV is 144hz VRR native: the highest standard in the TV industry and perfect for e-sport games and FPS.: smoother and seamless gameplay without any tearing. AMD Freesync premium for serious gamers with a fluid, tear-free gameplay experience at peak performance. The first brand to seriously introduce mini LED technology to the TV world was Chinese giant TCL. Yet sadly for UK shoppers those debut mini LED models didn't make it to our shores. That's changing for 2021 courtesy of TCL's new C825 range, represented here by the 65in 65C825K. Again, brightness alone doesn’t guarantee picture quality. In conjunction, though, with the C845K’s high dimming zone count and the fact that it uses Quantum Dots to deliver high-volume colours capable of capitalising on all that claimed brightness (TCL claims coverage of 97 per cent of the digital cinema DCI-P3 spectrum), we can’t help but at least hope that the 65C845K is going to do something pretty groundbreaking for its price point.

Ergonomics Information about the ergonomic functions - height adjustment, swivel angles, tilt angles, etc. VESA mountThe 65C815K is also notable for how exceptionally slim its screen is at its outer edges. So much so that you’d be forgiven for thinking it must be an OLED rather than LCD TV. For smart features and the main UI, TCL has turned to Android TV. The 65C825K currently runs Android 9.0, but will shift to 11.0 later in the year. European versions of the TV are already on to the Android 11.0 OS, and will upgrade to Google TV, but apparently that's not possible on this UK version due to localisation issues.
