Some time later, Megatron came under the influence of The Fallen, who sought to be freed from the sarcophagus that was his trans-dimensional prison. To this end, Soundwave was assigned captaincy of the newly built spacecraft Nemesis, which would take the sarcophagus across the galaxy to find the world on which The Fallen had built a Star Harvester millennia beforehand. Soundwave and his crew left Cybertron with The Fallen's sarcophagus just before the outbreak of the war. When Starscream launched a sudden assault on the Nemesis with a horde of monstrosities, Soundwave was barely able to draw his weapon before his energon was drained and left him paralyzed. His paralyzed form was discovered by a rescue team of Autobots, with Optimus Prime expressing concern that whatever had happened must've been bad if even Soundwave had been overcome. He was restored along with everyone else when Starscream was driven off. Soundwave was in attendance at the Decepticons' latest meeting in their war room.
